“Chad Davis is a trusted neighbor and a tireless, conservative leader in this community. As our State Representative, expect him to make an even greater difference in our lives.”

Chad Davis is a fourth generation Winter Haven resident, attorney, and member of the Florida Bar.

He wants to bring new leadership and deliver results for our community.

Chad Davis will be the first to tell you: His life has been blessed in so many ways.

He feels blessed to be born here, into a loving family with deep Winter Haven roots and an unceasing devotion to their community.  His father, who was elected Mayor in 1978 and went on to serve more than three decades as a trial and appellate court judge, is a respected and recognizable public servant.  His mother, who met Charles Davis at church, worked at Winter Haven Hospital and as a school nurse.

Chad Davis feels blessed to have grown up here, with our traditional small-town values.  He even considers it a blessing that he earned his master’s and law degrees in southern California, where he witnessed the failures of the state’s “Leftist leadership” first hand.

“It was an educational experience I won’t soon forget,” Chad said.  “I couldn’t leave for home fast enough after Pepperdine (law school).”

Davis was blessed with other personal gifts and relationships that catapulted his career.

Chad’s work ethic – what he calls a “dominant genetic trait” – saw him earn his first paycheck at the tender age of 14 when he bagged groceries at Winn Dixie.

His talent for music was displayed in church, in his high school band, at Cypress Gardens and at other area venues.  He excelled at drums, cello and piano and sang at holiday performances throughout the year.

In fact, he cites his piano teacher as one of his childhood mentors, who suggested Chad apply to law school.  This led to a DC internship with then-Senator Sam Brownback, who was a leading conservative voice and later was elected Governor of Kansas.

Chad’s reverence for God and family brought him to Trevecca Nazarene University, where he earned his bachelor’s degree in liberal arts and music.  He entertained thoughts of becoming a priest – even studying at a south Florida seminary for a while – but ultimately was called to follow in his father’s (rather large) footsteps by pursuing the law and public service.

In 2015 State Senator Kelli Stargel hired Chad as her Senior Legislative Aide.  As she rose through the ranks of Republican leadership, he pounced on this opportunity to help advance a pro-life, pro-family agenda in Tallahassee.

Chad Davis is a lifelong true believer.  In the good Lord above.  In the conservative cause.  In the Republican principles that have made families stronger and lives better for so many Floridians.

What’s more, he acts on his beliefs.  His active leadership in a number of clubs and organizations – including serving as past president of the Polk chapter of the Federalist Society – demonstrates his commitment to the enduring values of our community.

In fact, no one is more “Polk County Proud” than Chad Davis.
